Our carvers carve beautiful pieces of art from Jacaranda wood and Dichrostachys Cineria. No machines are used in any part of the process. From sourcing the wood, to forming workable blocks, then honing them down to small, medium and large works of functional art..... all handmade! Once the design of the product has been agreed on and carved, the burnt detail is added. This is applied by a homemade wooden handled length of wire which is inserted into a tin barrel of coals. When it is red-hot, the dots, stripes and marks are added to the carving.
